Secret History follows the university life of a group of Latin students. The main emphasis of the book is on the emotional, psychological and sociological states of the Students taking the Latin course. They are guided and brought together by their charismatic Classics Professor and try to apply ancient Greek and Roman philosophies to the modern world. I found the book very enjoyable the narrative is well paced and the main character is likeable. The other characters seem well developed and relatable and the setting is well fleshed out. It is also a good spring board for learning about classics as the references to ancient history are both accessible and informative.
